Job summary

A leading global law firm in Dubai is seeking a Paralegal to support its Global Financial Markets team. The role involves managing transactions, preparing legal documents, and conducting legal research. This position includes a hybrid working model, requiring office presence 60% of the time.

Department Purpose

Our Global Financial Markets (GFM) team covers an exciting and broad area of finance. We work with colleagues across practice groups and jurisdictions on helping the world’s most successful companies fund themselves and manage risk.


Our work shapes market practice and our lawyers are involved in innovative, cutting edge and high-profile deals. We have advised on many industry ‘firsts’, including some of the most innovative transactions in sustainable finance and digital bonds. In recent years we have also advised clients on complex funding matters as they navigate difficult economic conditions and often act as a client’s first port of call in times of market crisis.


Role Purpose

An opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our GFM Practice Group in Dubai.


Role & Responsibilities


  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of transactions

  • Preparing legal documents for execution

  • Legal research and know how development

  • Drafting standard and more complex documents, including precedents

  • Running legal surveys

  • Answering client queries directly

  • Document management including filing, indexing, and data entry, basic drafting and updating extranet documents

  • Assisting with and responding to queries from fee-earners across the firm

  • Assisting with the administration of know-how system data bases

  • General paralegal duties and support


Key Requirements


  • LPC or SQE qualifications (or equivalent) are desirable

  • Prior experience of working as a Paralegal or working within a legal corporate department would be an advantage

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Strong research and organisational skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent communication, professionalism and interpersonal skills

  • Hard working, enthusiastic, team player

  • High level of initiative and a willingness to learn

  • High level of computer literacy, including appropriate use of AI tools

  • Proven ability to effectively manage a busy workload and cope under pressure
