Job summary

NicheHR Global is seeking an experienced Paralegal – Trademarks & Compliance to join the Group Legal & Compliance team in Dubai. The role focuses on managing the GCC trademark portfolio, including searches, filings, renewals and recordals, while supporting compliance and governance matters across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of paralegal or IP experience, with strong English communication skills and familiarity with trademark processes; Arabic skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field is required.
• 4–6 years of relevant paralegal, legal operations, trademark or IP experience.
• Practical understanding of trademark registration and portfolio management, GCC exposure preferred.
• Experience coordinating with external trademark agents and managing related documentation and deadlines.
• Exposure to compliance, governance and general legal matters is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate GCC trademark portfolio management including searches, filings, registrations, renewals and recordals.
• Maintain accurate portfolio records, documentation and deadlines via trademark management platform.
• Liaise with internal teams and external trademark agents on filings and requirements.
• Monitor watch notices and assist with opposition, infringement and enforcement as needed.
• Handle trademark-related documentation, powers of attorney, notarization and legalization.
• Review and process invoices from trademark agents and maintain cost records.
• Follow up on fee-related queries with external agents.
• Prepare periodic portfolio and cost updates for the Legal team.
• Assist with compliance programmes, trackers and supporting documentation.
• Support due diligence processes and governance documentation.

Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Paralegal – Trademarks & Compliance to join their Group Legal & Compliance team in Dubai.

The role will primarily support the management and protection of the Group’s trademark portfolio across the GCC, including trademark searches, applications, registrations, renewals, recordals and related matters.

The position will also provide support across compliance, governance and general legal matters, working closely with internal business teams, external trademark agents and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Trademark Management – Primary Responsibility

• Coordinate the management of the Group’s GCC trademark portfolio, including trademark searches, applications, registrations, renewals, recordals and related actions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date portfolio records, documentation and deadlines through the Group’s trademark management platform.
• Liaise with internal business teams and external trademark agents on new brand filings, portfolio requirements and ongoing trademark matters.
• Monitor trademark watch notices and support opposition, infringement and enforcement matters where required.
• Coordinate trademark-related documentation, including powers of attorney, notarization and legalization requirements.
• Review and process invoices from trademark agents and maintain accurate cost records.
• Follow up on fee-related queries and outstanding matters with external agents.
• Prepare periodic trademark portfolio and cost updates for the Legal team.

Compliance & General Legal Support

• Support the administration of selected compliance programmes, including maintaining relevant trackers, records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with compliance declarations, training and awareness activities.
• Support third‑party due diligence processes and stakeholder follow‑ups.
• Assist with the maintenance and periodic review of Legal and Compliance policies and procedures.
• Assist with routine governance documentation and legal research.
• Support other Legal & Compliance projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies or a related discipline.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in a paralegal, legal operations, trademark or intellectual property environment.
• Practical understanding of trademark registration and portfolio management, preferably with GCC exposure.
• Experience coordinating with external trademark agents and managing trademark-related documentation and deadlines.
• Exposure to compliance, governance and general legal matters will be an advantage.
• Strong practical understanding of trademark registration and portfolio‑management processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
