Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Painting/Coating Inspector to join our Dubai operations. The role ensures all surface preparation and coating activities on piping, pressure vessels and skid packages are carried out in compliance with international standards, client specifications and Proclad quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify surface preparation, coating and painting activities for piping, pressure vessels and skids during fabrication.
• Review coating specifications, paint data sheets and ensure correct materials are applied.
• Conduct inspections for cleanliness, surface profile, DFT (dry film thickness), adhesion and holiday testing as per project requirements.
• Maintain coating inspection reports, traceability and paint material control records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, production and client representatives to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor storage, handling and mixing of paints to ensure compliance with manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Promote HSE and quality standards during coating and painting operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ coating/painting inspection experience in the oil & gas industry, specifically piping, pressure vessels and skid manufacturing.
• Certified Coating Inspector: NACE Level II or BGAS Level II (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of international coating standards (SSPC, ISO, NACE, ASTM).
• Familiar with surface preparation methods, blasting media, paint application techniques and environmental condition monitoring.
• Strong reporting, communication and problem-solving skills.
