Job summary

25hours Hotel One Central is seeking an detail-oriented front-of-house cashier/waitstaff support role in Dubai. You will manage cash, process guest payments, and ensure POS transactions are accurate during fast-paced service periods.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, strong administrative skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. This team enjoys a vibrant, inclusive culture and staff perks across Ennismore properties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Food & Beverage environment.
• Experience in a pre-opening or major refurbishment project is preferred.
• Experience working in the Middle East is advantageous.
• Background in the hotel or hospitality industry is required.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all checks close properly matching debit, credit, and cash payments.
• Maintain cash float balance and prevent discrepancies.
• Prepare waiters’ reports and compute floor staff sales daily.
• Process POS transactions and apply special offers before charging guests.
• Keep the register station stocked with necessary items.
• Notify management of any guests’ POS issues.
• Balance cash drawer consistently and accurately.
• Process guest payments by cash, card, or vouchers.
• Close open checks for waiters and complete end-of-day reports.
• Complete end-of-service calculations and revenue tallies.
• Support management with related duties as needed.
• Attend shifts as scheduled, including weekends and holidays.

Job Description

How does your working day look like …

• Ensure all the checks have been closed correctly matching up the debit, credit and cash payments.
• Ensuring the cash float always matches up and there are no discrepancies.
• Responsible for each waiters’ reports and calculation of each member of the floor staff sales as well as end of service and end of day restaurant sales.
• Perform returns and special transactions through the POS system, ensuring all special offers have been applied correctly before being charged to the guest
• Keep the “register station” stocked with all necessary items
• Notify management of all guests’ POS System issues
• Consistently maintain a balanced cash drawer
• Process all guests’ payments by cash, credit cards, debit cards and/or gift vouchers
• Ensuring each waiter closes up any open checks they might have before their daily report has been printed off
• Filling out all waiters’ envelopes at the end of each night, performing all calculations including but not limited to CC Total, Cash Total and Tips Total
• Processing end of service calculations, doing end of shift and end of day revenue calculations
• Perform related duties as requested by the management team
• Report to work as scheduler working various shifts including but not limited to weekends, holidays and/or night shifts

• Previous experience in a pre-opening or major refurbishment project within a similar operation.
• Previous work experience in the Middle East.
• Relevant experience within the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Good administrative and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
