Yas Plaza Hotels by IHG is seeking a Room Service Order Taker to coordinate all Room Service requests and ensure immediate action to maximize guest satisfaction.

You will handle order taking and placing, know all menus and promotions, recommend items to guests, and maintain a polished appearance while on duty. Duties include phone coverage, teamwork, and adherence to SOPs.

Competenze

• Previous experiences in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Diploma / degree in hospitality or vocational training in F&B.

Mansioni

• Coordinate all Room Service requests and ensure prompt action to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Handle order taking and placing while courteously addressing guest requests and orders.
• Know all menus and ongoing promotions; provide recommendations to guests on request.
• Maintain proper appearance and grooming while on duty.
• Answer Room Service telephones when required and communicate effectively with the kitchen and service team.
• Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and attend regular training sessions.
• Be flexible to work in other areas as required by the supervisor; adhere to SOPs and safety procedures.
• Support the Room Service Manager with additional tasks and uphold company policies.

As a Room Service Order Taker, you are responsible for coordinating all Room Service service requirements and ensuring immediate action, aiming for the highest possible Guest satisfaction.

About the Job

• Perform tasks as per instructions from the immediate supervisor and as per duty schedule.
• Directly involved in the order taking and order placing process while dealing with guest requests and orders, courteously, efficiently, and promptly
• Know all menus and ongoing promotions in the outlet by heart and gives recommendations to guests upon request.
• Ensure proper appearance and grooming while on duty.
• Answer the Room Service telephones, when required.
• Make himself / herself familiar with all relevant issues concerning the Room Service
• Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor
• Attend regular training session in line with the departmental SOP's i.e. guest care, product knowledge, grooming standards, telephone manners etc.
• Flexible to work in other areas when required by the immediate supervisor.
• Familiar with the company's internal policies and safety procedures and carries out other related tasks entrusted by the Room Service Manager from time to time.
• Preferably diploma / degree in hospitality or vocational training in food & beverage.
• Previous experiences in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Additional language skills are an advantage.
