Job summary

The role includes leadership in clinical governance, supervision of junior medical staff, and active involvement in quality improvement initiatives. The consultant ensures top patient care for inpatients and outpatients, participates in on‑call rotations, and adheres to DOH regulations and SEHA policies in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school, followed by specialty training.
• Postgraduate qualification such as MD, MS, or DNB is generally required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based care within the specialty.
• Provide patient examinations, develop treatment plans, and lead ward rounds.
• Oversee junior medical staff and participate in their instruction and supervision.
• Collaborate with other specialties and participate in multi‑disciplinary meetings.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and rigorous DOH compliance.
• Document clinical information accurately and support quality improvement initiatives.
