Job summary

GE Vernova UAE is offering an Operations Trainee program in Dubai at the Jebel Ali Service Centre. The one-year program focuses on hands-on learning in GT cell shop operations, under mentorship, with gradual responsibility and exposure to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture (SQDCC).

You will work with seasoned team members to learn inspection and repair processes, Lean tools, and continuous improvement methods, aiming to build technical and operational capability in a dynamic

Qualifications

• BSc in Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
• Foundational understanding of inspection and repair processes, NDT and quality systems.
• Academic/project/internship exposure to Kaizen, 5S, VSM and Daily Management Systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured thinking.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a hands-on operational environment.
• Localization preference for UAE nationals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Kaizen events within the GT cell to drive continuous improvement.
• Assist in implementing lean lines using 5S, VSM, Standard Work, and Daily Management Systems.
• Support daily operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture goals.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Materials to identify bottlenecks and improve flow.
• Receive mentorship and build technical and operational capability.
• Participate in structured problem-solving activities to reduce waste and stabilize processes.
• Develop and sustain SOPs for operational processes.
• Promote a safe working environment and safety practices.
