Job summary

Areca Capital in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Operations Officer to manage post-trade operations, fund settlements, and client account setup for institutional clients. You will oversee reconciliation processes and support the trade workflow on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include cash/securities settlements, liaising with brokers and custodians, and contributing to IT-related projects to enhance operational efficiency. Strong attention to detail is required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of global equities and other exchange-traded products.
• Knowledge of bonds, derivatives and related settlement markets.
• Experience in back-office or middle-office roles in brokerage or asset management.

• Pro-active participation in implementing new products and improving operational infrastructure.

• Identifying and resolving cash and securities breaks.
• Prepare operational reports and liaise with brokers and custodians.

An Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) financial services firm regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) is seeking an Operations Officer for an on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.

The firm provides custody, brokerage/execution, investment advisory and asset management services to professional and institutional clients.

Responsibilities:

• Full post-trade cycle: trade confirmations, cash & securities reconciliation, settlements (including Euroclear/Clearstream and local markets), custody operations.
• Pro-active participation in the implementation of new products and enhancement of the operational infrastructure.
• Daily support of the trade execution workflow together with trading.
• Setup of client accounts and instrument static into the firm’s operational system (static data, trading settings, etc.).
• Identification and resolution of cash and securities breaks.
• Preparation of operational reports and liaison with brokers and custodians.

Qualifications:

• Understanding and experience of working with global equities and other exchange-traded products, bonds (Euroclear/Clearstream + local markets) exchange-traded and OTC derivatives (futures, forwards, options)
• 3+ years experience in back-office / middle-office / operations of a brokerage or asset management firm
• Experience of work in Zag Trader is a strong advantage
• Proven experience of participation in change IT-related projects
• Ability to work in a team and contribute individually
• High attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of tasks under tight deadlines
