Job summary

Naffco in Dubai seeks an Operations Engineer to lead the technical execution of projects within its product line portfolio, owning the end-to-end journey from planning through delivery and ensuring compliance with client and quality standards.

You will manage 15-20 active projects per engineer, develop schedules, monitor risks, coordinate with production and procurement, and drive documentation and NCR closure to maintain schedule and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in operations, project engineering, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience in vehicle manufacturing, fire-fighting equipment, or specialist vehicles sectors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of assigned projects (about 15–20 active projects).
• Develop and monitor detailed project schedules and coordinate with production to align milestones with client delivery commitments.

JOB PURPOSE

Eachengineerownstheend-to-endprojectjourneyfromproductionplanningthrough quality inspection to final delivery,ensuringeveryvehicleisbuilt,documented,anddeliveredinfull conformance with applicable regulatory, client, and quality standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managethefulllifecycleofallassignedprojects —approximately15-20activeprojectsperengineer across all projects.
• Develop,maintain,andmonitordetailedprojectschedules,coordinatingwiththeproductionfloor to align manufacturing milestones with client delivery commitments.
• Identifyschedulerisksanddeviationsearly,implementingcorrectiveactionsandescalatingtothe Team Leader where required.
• Conductregularprojectprogressreviewswithinternalproductionandprocurementteamsto ensure continuity and on-time delivery.
• Coordinateprojecthandoveractivities,includingclientacceptanceinspections,delivery documentation, and post-delivery follow-up.
• Ensureallvehiclesunderassignedprojectsarebuiltinfullcompliancewiththeclient specification.
• Reviewandapprovetechnicaldocumentation,buildspecifications,andengineeringdrawingsprior to production commencement.
• Conductorcoordinatein-processandfinalqualityinspections,recordingallfindingsagainstthe project quality plan.
• Raise,manage,andcloseNon-ConformanceReports(NCRs)foranyidentifieddeviations,ensuring root cause analysis and corrective action are completed within defined timelines.
• Managerelationshipswithsuppliersandsubcontractorsresponsibleforcomponentsand services withinassigned projects.
• Monitorsupplierdeliveryperformanceandqualityagainstpurchaseordersandproject specifications.
• Coordinatethird-partyinspections,certifications,andfactoryacceptancetestsrequiredforall projects.
• EscalatesupplierperformanceissuestotheTeamLeaderandProcurement,maintainingaformal record of actions taken.
• Maintain complete, accurate project records for every assigned project including build documentation,inspectionrecords,clientcorrespondence,andcompliancecertificates.
• ProvideregularprojectstatusupdatestotheSeniorCoordinatorforinclusioninweekly management reports.
• Prepareandsubmitincidentreports,correctiveactionrecords,andtechnicaldeviationrequestsas required.
• SupporttheCoordinatorsinpreparingclient-facingstatusupdates,projectprogressreports,and delivery documentation.
• Provideproductionprogressreportto Sales.
• Requestforproductionplanfromproductiontostreamlineallprocessesandset deadlines.
• CollaboratecloselywiththeKOM/ProjectInitiationSpecialistatthestartofeachnewprojectto ensure scope, timeline, and stakeholder requirements are fully captured.
• CoordinatewiththeSeniorCoordinatoronschedulingconflicts,documentationpriorities,and resource constraints across the shared project portfolio.
• Participateinthemonthlyteamsync,providingaccurateprojectstatusupdatesandflaggingany unresolved blockers.
• SupporttheTeamLeaderinpreparingprojectdataformanagementreview presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor'sdegreeinMechanical,Electrical,orAutomotiveEngineering,orarelatedtechnical field.
• Minimum3-5yearsofexperienceinoperations,projectengineering,ormanufacturing environments.
• Experienceinvehiclemanufacturing,fire-fightingequipment,orspecialistvehiclesectorsis preferred.
• KnowledgeofISO9001andAS9100quality standards.
• FamiliaritywithERPsystems(Oraclepreferred)andPMISdocumentation systems.
