Job summary

Confidential Company in the United Arab Emirates seeks an Engineering Project Coordinator to support planning, coordinating and executing plant upgrades and facility improvements. You will liaise with multiple departments to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with engineering standards.

The role involves preparing scopes, schedules, budgets and technical documentation, tracking progress, controlling costs and coordinating installation, commissioning and testing of new equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in engineering project coordination or project management within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience working with plant engineering, equipment installation, or facility improvement projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and executing engineering projects including plant upgrades, equipment installation, facility improvements and infrastructure development.
• Support the preparation of project scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans and technical documentation.
• Coordinate project activities with Production, Maintenance, Procurement, Quality, HSE and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers and service providers to ensure project deliverables meet technical specifications, quality standards and agreed timelines.
• Monitor project progress against milestones, identify risks or delays and recommend corrective actions to ensure successful project completion.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, verify compliance with drawings, safety regulations and quality requirements.
• Assist in tracking project costs, monitoring budgets and supporting cost control initiatives.
• Support the installation, commissioning and testing of new equipment and machinery.
• Prepare project progress reports, meeting minutes, technical reports and project status updates for management.
• Maintain accurate project records including drawings, specifications, contracts, approvals and project documentation.
• Support troubleshooting activities and assist in resolving technical issues encountered during project implementation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, engineering standards, health, safety and environmental requirements throughout all project phases.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate communication between internal stakeholders and external contractors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency, equipment reliability and operational performance.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Group Engineering Manager.
