Job summary

SKM Air Conditioning LLC in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Operations Excellence Engineer to embed a culture of continuous improvement across the value chain. You will drive initiatives to optimize Quality, Delivery, and Cost while enhancing profitability and sustainability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management, knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, and expertise with value stream mapping, fishbone, and cost-benefit analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and/or Engineering Management from a reputable university.
• Knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma Process.
• Knowledgeable in Process Improvement Tools (Value Stream Mapping, Fishbone, Cost Benefit Analysis)
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Support Continuous Improvement by assisting in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Gather process data, perform basic analysis, and prepare reports to monitor performance metrics.
• Track key indicators and business metrics and highlight deviations for corrective action.
• Participate and contribute to Kaizen events and process improvement projects.
• Assist in Root Cause Analysis by helping to identify causes of process issues and support development of corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow operational excellence standards, procedures, and assist in audits to maintain compliance.
• Support Training and Documentation by Prepare and maintain documentation for process changes and assist in training sessions.
• Work closely with teams to implement improvements and resolve issues.
• Any other tasks to be given by the Superior.

Role Overview

The Operations Excellence Engineer is responsible for embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the company’s entire value chain to enhance customer satisfaction, improve profitability, and ensure sustainable operations. • Knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma Process.
• Knowledgeable in Process Improvement Tools (Ex: Value Stream Mapping, Fishbone, Cost Benefit Analysis)
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Skills & Experience

• Participation in Kaizen events or continuous improvement projects.
• Hands-on experience with time studies, process audits, or workflow optimization.
• Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Basics
• Understanding concepts like 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and waste reduction.
• Familiarity with DMAIC methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control).
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with operators, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to present findings and improvement plans clearly.
