Job summary

New Era Supermarket LLC in Dubai is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, effective staff management, product availability, and sales performance.

You will supervise staff, manage shift schedules, monitor stock, coordinate with departments, handle customer issues, and ensure compliance with health, safety and company policies. Salary: AED 2,000–4,000 per month. On-site position.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supermarket Manager in managing daily store operations.
• Supervise and motivate supermarket staff to achieve sales and service targets.
• Ensure proper staffing, duty allocation, attendance, and shift schedules.
• Monitor sales, stock levels, product availability, and replenishment.
• Ensure shelves, displays, and promotional areas are properly maintained.
• Monitor pricing, promotions, expiry dates, and product quality.
• Minimize stock losses, damages, wastage, and inventory discrepancies.
• Support stock receiving, transfers, inventory counts, and stock audits.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Monitor cashiers and ensure proper cash-handling procedures are followed.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and maintained according to company standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and company policies.
• Coordinate with the warehouse, purchasing, HR, finance, and other departments when required.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly operational reports to the Supermarket Manager.
• Support the implementation of sales promotions and marketing activities.
• Monitor competitor activities and provide feedback to management.
• Take charge of the store in the absence of the Supermarket Manager.
• Identify operational issues and take corrective action when required.
