Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mid-Level Civil Inspector in Al Ain, UAE. You will inspect earthworks, subgrade, paving, and road infrastructure to ensure compliance with IFC/shop drawings, QA/QC plans, and ITPs.

You will coordinate with Survey and QA/QC teams, document results, and support on-site tests and handover activities. The role requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering, 7 years of road and infrastructure experience, UAE/GCC exposure preferred, and strong communication skills to report findings and

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in road and infrastructure construction projects.
• Proven experience in inspecting earthworks, subgrade, subbase, roadbase, asphalt paving, kerbs and related road works.
• Strong knowledge of road construction specifications, QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and material testing requirements.
• Experience in witnessing and assessing compaction, density, asphalt and pavement testing activities.
• Familiarity with surveying requirements, road geometry, levels, gradients, and crossfalls.
• UAE/GCC infrastructure project experience preferred.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements and traffic management during road construction works.
• Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect earthworks, subgrade, roadbase and asphalt pavement works.
• Monitor kerbs, interlock paving, footpaths and road infrastructure.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specs, and ITPs.
• Witness field and lab testing including compaction and density.
• Maintain daily inspection records and reports.
• Coordinate with utility inspectors and survey teams.
• Support snagging, de-snagging, and final inspections.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inspection reports.
