Job summary

Wood is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide day-to-day mechanical engineering support for site operations in Sharjah, UAE. You will work with the Operations Engineering Manager to ensure safe, reliable and compliant operations on a full-time, on-site basis.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, KPI monitoring, MoCs/EQs handling, and collaboration with the site team to deliver optimized production and robust engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an Operations Mechanical Engineering support role.
• Sound knowledge of industry codes, standards and regulations to mitigate risks.
• Strong stakeholder management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day mechanical engineering support to resolve site issues under the Operations Engineering Manager.
• Defines operating envelopes and monitors equipment health, recording excursions as needed.
• Monitors KPIs for static mechanical systems and drives corrective actions.
• Supports management of change and engineering queries with technical input.
• Identifies production vulnerabilities and opportunities to support growth.
• Contributes to Site Operations Procedures with technical input.
• Provides coaching on static mechanical engineering to client engineers.
• Generates and reviews discipline technical documentation.
