Job summary

Wood is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide day-to-day mechanical engineering support for site operations in the UAE, focusing on safe, reliable, and compliant delivery. The role is an on-site position based in Sharjah and reports to the Operations Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate has significant operations engineering experience, professional accreditation, and a strong grounding in industry codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an Operations Mechanical Engineering support role.
• Guidance on designs and systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks.
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer accreditation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day Mechanical Engineering support to deliver immediate operations support.
• Ensure asset Mechanical Engineering risks are understood and actions are taken within set timelines.
• Monitor KPIs and support MoCs and Engineering Queries (EQs).
• Identify production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to support production growth.
• Develop and review technical documentation and SOPs.
