Job summary

Confidential in Dubai is seeking a Construction Technician to handle practical site-based tasks, support technical teams, and assist in completing construction and maintenance activities according to project instructions and safety requirements. The role requires a technical diploma or trade qualification, with hands-on construction experience and ability to read basic drawings and measurements.

UAE/GCC experience is a plus; freshers with technical training may apply.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma, vocational training, or relevant trade qualification is preferred.
• Previous hands-on experience in construction or technical site work is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge of common construction tools and materials.
• Ability to understand basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Good manual skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a site team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned construction, installation, and repair activities at project sites.
• Assist technicians, supervisors, and engineers with daily site requirements.
• Prepare work areas and arrange required materials before starting tasks.
• Operate hand tools and power tools appropriate to assigned activities.
• Take measurements and perform basic marking, cutting, fitting, and assembly work.
• Assist with installation of construction components and fixtures.
• Examine completed work and inform the supervisor of any defects or issues.
• Help troubleshoot basic technical and site-related problems.
• Handle construction materials carefully and prevent unnecessary wastage.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow work schedules and complete assigned tasks within required timelines.
• Comply with site safety rules, PPE requirements, and company procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping around the assigned work area.
