Job summary

Talentac in Dubai is seeking a Mechanical Technician/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on construction machinery. You will inspect, diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems and powertrain components, with on-site troubleshooting when needed.

Applicants should have an ITI, Diploma, or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and 1–5 years of relevant experience, plus the ability to work both in a workshop and at customer sites in the UAE.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma/Technical Certificate in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 1–5 years hands-on experience as Mechanical Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Experience on CICPA-controlled sites/projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of construction equipment and machinery.
• Inspect equipment to identify faults, wear, damage and potential breakdowns.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems in heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery.
• Service, repair, dismantle and reassemble engines and mechanical components.
• Maintain records of inspections, servicing, repairs and parts replacement.
• Coordinate with workshop supervisors and operations teams regarding repair needs and equipment availability.
• Follow manufacturer maintenance procedures and service intervals.
• Ensure equipment is safe and ready for delivery to sites; respond to breakdowns on-site where required.
