Job summary

Black & Grey HR seeks a Field Engineer for offshore and subsea installations in Abu Dhabi, supervising offshore activities and coordinating with marine crews through a 60/30 rotation. When onshore, you support pre-mobilisation engineering and project close-out documentation at the client site.

Requirements include a marine/mechanical engineering degree, 8+ years offshore experience, BOSIET/HUET, and strong safety focus. International project exposure is a plus for long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years offshore operations experience, including subsea sleeper installation.
• Valid BOSIET and HUET certifications.
• Strong knowledge of offshore operations, subsea installation, quality control, and marine coordination.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across offshore and onshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise offshore installation activities (sleepers, mattresses, risers, grout bags).
• Monitor installation quality and guide offshore crews.
• Coordinate with marine operations for vessel positioning and equipment deployment.
• Track daily progress and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Conduct inspections and verify quality throughout offshore operations.
• Maintain installation procedures and project documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during offshore work.
• Ensure compliance with client specs, procedures and standards.
• Implement offshore safety procedures and maintain HSE compliance.
• Coordinate with marine crews on safe installation and equipment handling.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings; assist in emergency response.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during complex installs.
• Interface with onshore engineering for technical coordination.
• Support equipment troubleshooting and maintenance during offshore operations.
