Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd is seeking a Production Engineer to apply conceptual knowledge of offshore fabrication/construction and work under guidance to solve straightforward fabrication problems. The role involves analyzing solutions, understanding critical business drivers, and applying knowledge to typical situations with established precedents.

The incumbent will review scopes, schedules, and specifications, prepare work listings, and coordinate with planning, shop, and construction teams

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
3+ years of oil and gas experience with major contractor or consultant.
Familiar with API RP2A, AISC, and AWS.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to production processes and facilities.

Responsibilities

Review project scope, schedules, and specifications and understand requirements and deliverables.
Prepare Scope of Work and Task Listing.
Review the fabrication schedule and suggest corrections to the planning team.
Review drawings for constructability and identify special items/subcontract requirements.
Review monthly material reports and raise issues with material delivery.
Review material requisitions prior to ordering.
Coordinate with shop/erection floor planning to ensure project plan compliance.
Approve fabrication drawings and review Work Pack deliverables.
