Job summary

McDermott International is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to lead offshore field engineering activities, guiding a team through bid preparation, technical clarifications, and installation planning for complex subsea projects.

The role emphasizes coordinating with multiple departments, managing schedules and resources, and ensuring compliance with client and company standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 7–9 years in oil and gas with major contractors or consultants.
• 2–3 years in operations and field engineering.
• Proficient with Excel including macros.
• Experience with AutoCAD and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Review all technical project documents and identify discrepancies.
• Attend bid interviews with local management and participate in global reviews.
• Prepare technical clarifications and submit to Proposal Coordinator.
• Develop a plan and allocate resources to meet schedule.
• Prepare installation documentation and procurement materials.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare bid summary book for offshore input.
