Job summary

KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is seeking a Specialist Rigging & Lifting Engineer for an Offshore Water Injection Project to be based in UAE (Abu Dhabi) with an Office + Offshore Site role on a 6 weeks on/3 weeks off rotation.

The role focuses on planning, engineering, and overseeing all lifting and rigging activities for offshore facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications while coordinating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

10–15 years of rigging, lifting engineering, and offshore construction experience.
Experience on offshore oil & gas or offshore energy projects is required.

Responsibilities

Develop and review lifting studies, procedures, rigging plans, and method statements for offshore installation and construction.
Prepare lift plans for routine, complex, and critical operations and perform engineering calculations for loads and equipment selection.
Verify lifting points, padeyes, trunnions, spreader beams, and ensure compliance with standards.
Coordinate heavy lift operations using offshore cranes and lifting vessels; support load-out, sea fastening, and hook-up activities.
Review contractor lifting studies and ensure compliance with project lifting requirements; provide on-site technical support.
Review lifting deliverables and participate in design reviews to ensure maintainability and safety.
