Job summary

KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team seeks a Specialist Electrical Engineer for an Offshore Water Injection Project. The role focuses on design, engineering, review, and technical support of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API standards and client requirements during concept through commissioning.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in Oil & Gas offshore environments, FEED and EPC experience, and strong specialization in hazardous areas, power distribution and system protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• 15+ years of electrical engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, EPC or Energy projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a Specialist or Senior Electrical Engineering role.
• Experience across FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC and commissioning phases.
• Proven offshore platforms, water injection projects, FPSOs or subsea experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and review offshore electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform electrical system studies including load flow, short circuit, motor starting and protection coordination.
• Prepare and review equipment specifications, datasheets, calculations and requisitions.
• Support procurement, vendor evaluations and commissioning activities.
• Ensure hazardous area compliance and safety standards across projects.
