We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Offshore Process Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, supporting the detailed design and engineering of a major offshore oil and gas development in the Middle East. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering robust and efficient process designs that meet project objectives, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and review process design deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, process simulations, equipment sizing, heat and material balances, and process datasheets.
- Perform process simulations using industry-standard software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus, ProMax).
- Lead or support HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and risk assessments.
- Provide input to equipment specifications and assist in technical bid evaluations.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, piping, instrumentation) to ensure a fully integrated offshore facility design.
- Ensure that all process engineering designs are compliant with international standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO), client specifications, and local regulatory codes.
- Provide process engineering support throughout detailed design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
- Review and validate vendor packages for process systems and equipment.
- Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and client presentations.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 years focused on offshore projects.
- Strong background in detailed engineering for offshore platforms, FPSOs, or similar offshore facilities.
- Expertise in fluid handling, separation systems, gas dehydration, compression, flare systems, and utility systems.
- Familiarity with ADNOC standards and Middle East offshore practices is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in process simulation and design tools (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Flare System Analyzer).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Chartered Engineer status or professional membership in a recognized engineering institution.
- Previous experience on brownfield offshore modifications or revamp projects.
- Familiarity with offshore operations and process troubleshooting.
