Job summary

Sembol Construction is seeking a Design Engineer – Engineering Office for the Omairah ADNOC Offshore Project in Abu Dhabi. A minimum of 3 years of UAE experience in MEP and civil design is required, with proficiency in AutoCAD and multidisciplinary coordination.

The role involves preparing and reviewing drawings, coordinating across disciplines, and ensuring deliverables meet project specs and client requirements for offshore construction works.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years UAE experience in engineering design environments.
• Experience with MEP and civil construction projects in the UAE.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and coordinating drawings and design documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and coordinate MEP engineering drawings, layouts, and design documentation.
• Coordinate MEP designs with civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements for accuracy and compliance.
• Support engineering design activities for civil construction and offshore project works.
• Identify and resolve design clashes in coordination with project and site teams.
• Prepare technical submittals, material specs, design calculations, and other documents as required.
• Liaise with project managers, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure all design deliverables comply with project specs and client requirements.
• Incorporate technical comments and revisions into drawings and documentation.
• Provide engineering support to construction teams to resolve design issues.
