Job summary

NMDC Group is seeking a Materials Management coordinator for offshore projects in the UAE. You will oversee material management from onshore prep through offshore mobilization to demobilization, coordinating with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics and other teams to ensure material readiness and timely deliveries.

  • Diploma in a related discipline is required or equivalent.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management is required.
  • Valid Offshore Training certificate is required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee material management procedures to support offshore project execution.
  • Coordinate the procurement, tracking, storage, and issuance of required tools, equipment, and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure timely re-certification of critical equipment.
  • Keep detailed and updated inventory logs, master lists, and supporting documentation with photos.
  • Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant material deliveries.
  • Review material procurement lists with engineers and superintendents to ensure they meet project needs.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including packing lists, certificates, and inspection records for all project assets.
  • Support Bag & Tag operations in alignment with offshore construction work packs.
  • Manage the issuance and reconciliation of materials and equipment, while generating necessary inventory reports.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and escalate procurement requests as needed.
  • Prepare and authorize issuance notes for transferring materials to the Hookup Bag & Tag area.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams for customs documentation, cargo planning, and transportation to offshore sites.
  • Track material shipments to ensure safe and timely arrival at offshore locations.
  • Conduct material reconciliation and manage the Return to Shore (RTS) process post-campaign.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of material and logistics workflows.

Education

Diploma in a related discipline
Certification in logistics or supply chain management
Valid Offshore Training certificate

Job description

  • Responsible for the Materials Management process from onshore preparation phase to offshore mobilization to offshore execution to closeout / demobilization at base.
  • Responsible for interface management with Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, and other departments as necessary to ensure availability of materials as required by Offshore.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining inventory log, tracking log, delivery log, to build towards materials readiness prior to mobilization.
  • Responsible to respond to “AMR” issued during offshore campaign to supply materials as necessary to maintain offshore continuity.
