Job summary

Wood in Abu Dhabi seeks a Lead Process Engineer to provide technical leadership for design, development, and execution of process engineering on large-scale offshore oil & gas projects. You will lead a team of process engineers across Conceptual Studies to EPC execution, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and technically sound outcomes.

The role requires extensive offshore experience, strong knowledge of Middle East/GCC standards, and PMC experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or Process Engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all process engineering activities for offshore upstream projects.
Oversee development of PFDs, P&IDs, heat & material balance calculations, process datasheets, equipment specifications.
Ensure engineering deliverables meet project specs, industry standards and client requirements.
Lead process simulation and optimization studies using industry-standard software tools.
Review deliverables and provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams.
Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Safety, and Operations disciplines.
Support construction, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing activities.
Mentor junior and senior process engineers within the team.
