Job summary

McDermott in Dubai seeks an Field Engineer to apply field experience with guidance to solve offshore installation challenges. You will use standard procedures to analyze solutions, assess drawings, and ensure safe operations across complex offshore tasks.

Responsibilities include planning loadouts, coordinating with multiple departments, and preparing installation procedures and post-job reports. Travel to offshore sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3-5 years offshore installation experience.
• Knowledge in Auto CAD or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office and any 3D software experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel to different job sites and work in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out work safely per QHSE policies and procedures.
• Travel offshore for job execution and onshore site as required.
• Develop the vessel layout and barge loadout plans for transport of materials.
• Participate in constructability sessions, readiness reviews, HAZID/Job Safety Analysis.
• Review project drawings, report discrepancies and omissions.
• Prepare offshore installation procedures per company processes.
• Prepare material lists and liaise with procurement.
• Coordinate with Marine, E&M, Welding, Quality, HSES, Survey & ROV and Subcontractors.
• Witness pre-rigging, loadouts, inspect, and develop checklists.
• Prepare/collect as-built documentation and post-job reports.
