Job summary

EDGE in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced HSE professional to oversee safety and environmental management across workshops, warehouses, and offices. You will implement and maintain systems, analyze inspection data, and advise leadership on compliance and risk.

The role requires five years in HSE, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently while developing training materials and presentations for staff and contractors. UAE driving license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience working in a HSE role is required.
  • Exposure to a technical program related to Industrial safety is preferred.
  • The capability to monitor and analyse HSE trends is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software and email correspondence is required.
  • Ability to learn governmental regulations and apply this knowledge to spot safety and environmental deficiencies.
  • Ability to interact with management and non-management personnel to discuss identified deficiencies.
  • The ability to work independently without direct supervision on a day-to-day basis is required.
  • Experience in developing HSE training materials and delivering presentations is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple administrative projects simultaneously is required.
  • A good work ethic is required; punctuality is essential.
  • An ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally, is required.
  • Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures safety and environmental management systems are systematically maintained and documented across all AL TAIF sites.
  • Reviews inspection data to identify noncompliance trends and tracks closure of findings.
  • Advises management on integrating HSE protocols into workflows.
  • Maintains the Risk Framework and the Risk Register.
  • Develops and oversees training programs for risk assessments, JHAs, and environmental evaluations.
  • Prepares performance reports and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Manges internal HSE training curriculum, schedules, and records for all staff and contractors.
  • Oversees waste management documentation and compliance with UAE regulations.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive information and HSE records.
  • Mentors and supports other HSE team members to meet objectives.
  • Performs other duties as required by line/managers.
