Job summary

Avanta Works in Dubai invites an experienced Oenologist/Winemaker to lead wine production from grape to bottle in Jabal-Ali. You will oversee quality, monitor fermentation, blending, bottling, and ensure regulatory compliance.

This contract role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently and in a team, and effective English communication. Malayalee cultural understanding is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be Malayalee national or have strong Malayalee cultural understanding.
• Proficient in English; Arabic language is a plus.
• Willing to work irregular hours during peak production.
• Strong passion for winemaking and knowledge of oenology principles.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production from grape to bottle and ensure wine quality.
• Manage fermentation, blending, bottling, and inventory.
• Coordinate with vineyard managers for optimal grape conditions.
• Train cellar staff and enforce safety regulations.
• Stay updated on industry trends to improve processes.
• Lead a team of cellar workers during production.

Oenologist/Winemaker

We are currently seeking an experienced Oenologist/Winemaker to join our team in Jabal-Ali, UAE. As an Oenologist, you will be responsible for overseeing the production and quality of our wines from grape to bottle. This is a contract position that does not require any previous experience in the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of wine production from grape selection to fermentation, blending, and bottling
• Conduct regular quality control checks on the wine during different stages of production
• Collaborate with vineyard managers to ensure optimal grape growing conditions
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of wine and packaging materials
• Develop and implement new techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of wine production
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to continuously improve our products
• Oversee a team of cellar workers and provide training when necessary
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations

Requirements

• Must be a Malayalee national or have a strong understanding of Malayalee culture
• Able to communicate effectively in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Own visa preferred but not required
• Strong passion for winemaking and knowledge of oenology principles
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Flexibility to work irregular hours during peak production periods
