Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks an Odoo Functional Consultant to translate client requirements into ERP solutions and lead functional implementation of Odoo Accounting and related modules. Configure Odoo per business needs, conduct workshops, and prepare specifications for technical teams.

Responsibilities include gap analysis, data migration support, testing, and post‑go‑live support, with a focus on UAE/GCC clients and VAT considerations. Travel within UAE may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on implementation experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and ERP workflows.
• Functional knowledge of multiple Odoo modules (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, CRM, HR, Project).
• Experience in Odoo configuration, implementation, testing, and user training.
• Strong business analysis and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and client‑handling skills.

• Conduct client discussions, product demonstrations, training sessions, and user workshops.


• Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with technical/development teams for customizations.


• Perform functional testing, UAT, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.


• Support data migration, system configuration, deployment, and post-implementation support.


• Provide guidance to clients on Odoo best practices and process improvements.


• Participate in presales activities, requirement analysis, solution demonstrations, and proposal preparation when required.


• Manage multiple client projects and ensure timely delivery of functional activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Hands-on implementation experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant.Candidates with hands-on experience in other ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Tally may also apply.


• Good functional experience in Accounting modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, or Financial Reporting.


• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and ERP workflows.


• Functional knowledge of multiple Odoo modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, CRM, HR, Project, and related modules.


• Experience in Odoo configuration, implementation, testing, and user training.


• Strong business analysis and problem‑solving skills.


• Good communication and client‑handling skills.


• Ability to prepare functional documentation and work effectively with technical teams.


• Experience working with UAE/GCC clients and business processes is an advantage.


• Knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices is preferred.


• Odoo certification will be an advantage.


• Experience in Odoo implementation projects from requirement gathering through go‑live.


• Knowledge of UAE VAT, tax configuration, invoicing, payments, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and accounting workflows.


• Strong presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.


• Willingness to work closely with clients and travel within the UAE when required.
