Job summary

Abu Dhabi Health Services Company- SEHA - شركة أبوظبي للخدمات الصحية - صحة seeks a senior obstetrician/gynecologist to lead care for high-risk pregnancies and guide complex maternal-fetal cases in Abu Dhabi.

Expert imaging, antepartum and intrapartum management, and adherence to DOH standards are core. You will mentor staff, engage in teaching, and advance quality initiatives within SEHA’s obstetrics services.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of post-specialization experience in high-risk obstetrics.
• Experience with SEHA or GCC institutions is advantageous.
• DOH license or eligibility to obtain license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for high-risk pregnancies and manage maternal complications.
• Lead multidisciplinary case discussions with neonatology, genetics, radiology and others.
• Guide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care of complex cases.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with obstetrics teams.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and contribute to governance.

Job Description

• Provide expert care for high-risk pregnancies, including management of maternal complications and fetal anomalies.
• Perform and interpret advanced prenatal imaging and diagnostic procedures (e.g., fetal ultrasound, Doppler studies, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling).
• Lead multidisciplinary case discussions involving neonatology, genetics, radiology, and other specialties.
• Guide the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care of complex obstetric cases.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with obstetrics teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, residents, and fellows.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety standards.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy.
• Engage in academic teaching, research, and continuing professional development (CPD).
• Comply with SEHA and DOH policies, guidelines, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
• Completion of specialized training in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Valid DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi) license, CCT UK, American Board, German Board, and/or eligibility to obtain
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience post-specialization, with significant exposure to high-risk obstetrics
• Previous SEHA or GCC experience is an advantage
