Job summary

CapeClarke is seeking a high-calibre Corporate Lawyer at NQ to 1.5 PQE level to join a growing team in Abu Dhabi. The role offers exposure to cross-border transactions and advising major corporates and institutional clients.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers on a broad range of corporate matters, including M&A, joint ventures, restructurings and private equity, with opportunities for responsibility and progression in a leading Middle East market.

Qualifications

• NQ to 1.5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Trained and/or qualified with a Magic Circle or leading US law firm.
• High-quality corporate/M&A experience at a leading international practice.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Arabic language skills would be highly desirable, though not essential.

The Opportunity

• Cross-border transactions involving the UAE and wider Middle East
• Due diligence, transaction documentation and negotiation

You will have significant exposure to high-value and complex matters, with excellent opportunities for responsibility, development and progression.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a strong academic and professional profile. Candidates should have:

• NQ to 1.5 years' post-qualification experience
• Trained and/or qualified with a Magic Circle or leading US law firmHigh-quality corporate/M&A experience gained at a leading international practice
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• The confidence and maturity to work with sophisticated clients and senior stakeholders
• Arabic language skills would be highly desirable, although not essential

Candidates with experience of Middle East-related transactions or exposure to UAE/GCC clients will be particularly attractive.
