Job summary

Job Description:

Node.js Developer + Testing (Node.js - 80% & Testing - 20%)

Education:

• Degree or Postgraduate in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent industry experience).

Experience:

• Coding experience in Node.js, JavaScript, and Databases.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring.

Technical Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of developing scalable and highly available RESTful APIs using Node.js technologies.
• Practical experience with GraphQL.
• Well-versed with CI/CD principles and troubleshooting issues in distributed services.
• Understanding of containerization with experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to API gateway integrations such as 3Scale.
• Understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) or token-based authentication (REST, JWT, OAuth).
• Expert knowledge of task/message queues such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin, and Kafka.

Functional Skills:

• Experience in coding standards, security, unit testing, and documentation.
• Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech experience is preferred.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Ensure quality of technical and application architecture and design.
• Research and benchmark technologies against industry best practices.

Soft Skills:

• Strong technical leadership and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with Senior and Executive Management.
