Job summary

Nissan in Dubai seeks a regulatory affairs professional to ensure timely homologation and certification across MEA markets. You will monitor regulatory changes, coordinate with authorities, and align internal teams to meet SOP timelines for Nissan and Infiniti models.

The role requires 4–6 years of PV homologation experience, knowledge of GCC/UAE processes, and strong reporting skills. UAE license is preferred and a proactive, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or diploma in Automotive/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in PV homologation and regulatory processes for GCC/EU/ASIA markets.
  • Familiarity with GSO/SASO regulatory workflows and certification.
  • Strong coordination and reporting abilities, UAE license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with authorities, committee bodies, OEMs and HQ for regulatory compliance.
  • Negotiate with regulatory authorities to safeguard Nissan's interests across ME, GCC, and CIS.
  • Prepare trend reports and respond to inquiries from NML and external partners.
  • Plan GCC COC delivery in line with SOP timelines for Nissan & Infiniti models.

Job description

PURPOSE / DETAILS OF THE JOB

Mission & Main Objectives

To support the introduction and sales of Nissan vehicles in Middle East markets by continuously monitoring regulatory requirements and industry trends, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all applicable homologation and certification requirements in a timely manner.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Gather information from authorities, Technical Committee, related body & OEMs. Trend report preparation and correspondence to HQ.
  • Negotiation with ME regulation authorities for Nissan’s business interest. Communicate with the related department within Nissan regional & Global
  • Response for inquiry from NML, dealing with external partners & test laboratories to support certification testing.
  • GCC COC delivery planning against SOP timeline for Nissan & Infiniti models.

Country Specifics: GCC, MED, CIS

KPIs

  • Reg & Hom on time Completion as per NML SOP plan.
  • Safety, Emission, fuel economy, NCAP and other regulation's situation and interpretation.
  • New regulation trend preparation, Lobbying inline with model SOP plan.
BACKGROUND & SKILLS REQUIRED

Specific technical skills

  • Diploma/Degree in Automobile/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering
  • Min 4-6 years Automotive PV Homologation, Regulation experience.
  • Prior experience with GSO / SASO processes (preferred)
  • Prior experience with EU/ASIAN/GCC regulation agencies mandatory.
  • Experience over regulation standards formation OR interpretation.
  • Strong information coordination and follow-up capability until closure.
  • Familiar with GSO, SASO regulatory and certification workflows Implementation
  • Technical Reporting/Writing
  • UAE License - Preferred
