Job summary

Nissan Motor Corporation in Dubai seeks a regulatory affairs specialist to support the introduction and sales of Nissan vehicles in the Middle East by monitoring regulatory requirements and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely homologation and certification.

The role requires 4–6 years of automotive homologation experience, knowledge of GSO/SASO processes, and familiarity with EU/ASIAN/GCC regulatory agencies. UAE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Min 4-6 years Automotive PV Homologation, Regulation experience.
• Experience with GSO/SASO processes (preferred).
• Experience with EU/ASIAN/GCC regulation agencies mandatorily.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from authorities and related bodies; prepare trend reports and communicate with HQ.
• Negotiate with ME regulation authorities to protect Nissan's business interests; coordinate with regional/global teams.
• Respond to inquiries from NML and external partners to support certification testing.
• Plan GCC COC delivery against SOP timelines for Nissan & Infiniti models.

To support the introduction and sales of Nissan vehicles in Middle East markets by continuously monitoring regulatory requirements and industry trends, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all applicable homologation and certification requirements in a timely manner.

PURPOSE / DETAILS OF THE JOB

Mission & Main Objectives

To support the introduction and sales of Nissan vehicles in Middle East markets by continuously monitoring regulatory requirements and industry trends, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all applicable homologation and certification requirements in a timely manner.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Gather information from authorities, Technical Committee, related body & OEMs. Trend report preparation and correspondence to HQ.
• Negotiation with ME regulation authorities for Nissan's business interest. Communicate with the related department within Nissan regional & Global
• Response for inquiry from NML, dealing with external partners & test laboratories to support certification testing.
• GCC COC delivery planning against SOP timeline for Nissan & Infiniti models.

KPIs

• Reg & Hom on time Completion as per NML SOP plan.
• Safety, Emission, fuel economy, NCAP and other regulation's situation and interpretation.

New regulation trend preparation, Lobbying inline with model SOP plan.

• Experience over regulation standards formation OR interpretation.
• Strong information coordination and follow-up capability until closure.
