Job summary

Aquarius Worldwide in Dubai seeks a skilled Navcom Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot navigation and communication systems aboard commercial vessels. You will ensure radar, ECDIS, gyro, autopilot, and GMDSS equipment operate reliably and in compliance with international standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, calibrate instruments, and provide onboard technical support to ship crews while working with brands like Furuno and JRC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in Navcom systems.
• Strong knowledge of marine navigation and communication equipment.
• Experience with radar, ECDIS, gyro, and autopilot.
• GMDSS regulations familiarity.
• GOC is an advantage and manufacturer certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain navigation and communication systems on vessels to ensure reliability.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and conduct system testing.
• Calibrate and configure navigation instruments and onboard equipment.
• Provide onboard technical support to ship crews and train operators.
