Job summary

DAMANA in Dubai seeks a Motor Surveyor to conduct professional and independent assessments of motor vehicle damages arising from accidents and insured events. You will inspect vehicles, determine damage extent, prepare repair estimates, and verify costs to support fair claims settlement.

You will ensure assessments are objective and compliant with UAE regulations, policies, and repair standards, reporting to the Motor Claims Manager / Head of Motor Claims. Driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Must have vehicle inspection and damage assessment capabilities.
• Knowledge of UAE motor insurance claims practices is preferred.
• Understand repair methods, parts, paints, and costs.
• Valid UAE driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and document all visible and consequential damage.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates based on assessed damage and parts/labor costs.
• Liaise with approved repairers and workshops for estimates and scope.
• Assess whether a vehicle should be repaired or considered a total loss.
• Prepare clear survey reports and maintain documentation in claims system.
• Identify potential fraudulent or exaggerated claims and anomalies.
