Job summary

Anantara Downtown Dubai is seeking an experienced Mixologist to join our luxury bar team. You will craft cocktails, maintain high standards of quality, and ensure impeccable service in a vibrant hotel environment.

Responsibilities include setting up the bar at each shift, preparing cocktails per our beverage manual, managing stock and ensuring responsible alcohol service in line with company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience as a mixologist or bartender in a luxury hotel setting.
• Knowledge of beverage preparation and presentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high guest volume.

Responsibilities

• Display high hospitality standards and professionalism.
• Set up the bar at the beginning of each shift with liquor, ice, glassware, garnishes, and other items.
• Process drink orders accurately and manage billing promptly.
• Prepare cocktails per Anantara Beverage Manual with standard measures.
• Receive liquor and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Maintain clean and secure bar area and assist with cleaning tasks.
• Adhere to Responsible Alcohol guidelines at all times.

Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues.Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:• To serve guests in accordance with Anantara standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and sanitation, in a gracious and professional manner.• To display the highest standards of national hospitality and professionalism when interacting with guests.• To take pride in all aspects of service, quality, personal appearance, and cleanliness, both in yourself and within your area of responsibility.• To understand and adhere to Beverage Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and continuously seek opportunities to recommend improvements to these procedures.• To professionally set up the bar at the beginning of each shift, including liquor, ice, glassware, juices, garnishes, and other required items.• To process drink orders in the proper calling order, ensuring the correct number of drinks are prepared and managing billing accurately, promptly, and efficiently.• To prepare all cocktails in accordance with the Anantara Resorts & Spas Standard Beverage Manual, using full standard measures.• To receive and check liquor against the previous shift’s requisitions and report any discrepancies in the receiving order to the F&B Supervisor promptly.• To maintain security and control within the work area and never leave the bar area unless properly relieved by a colleague.• To assist with bar and work-area cleanliness, including mopping floors, removing cans and bottles, cleaning rails and counters, and removing melting ice from ice bins.• To adhere to Anantara’s Responsible Usage of Alcohol guidelines at all times, including not serving alcohol to underage guests or guests displaying inappropriate behaviour due to previous overconsumption of alcohol.
