Job summary

Anantara Downtown Dubai invites applications for a skilled bartender to join our luxury beverage team. You will craft cocktails, manage bar mise-en-place, and ensure impeccable presentation in line with Anantara standards.

You will take pride in service, maintain cleanliness, and uphold responsible alcohol guidelines while greeting guests and processing orders quickly. The role is based at Anantara Downtown Dubai, offering a premium hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

To serve guests in accordance with Anantara standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and sanitation, in a gracious and professional manner.
To display the highest standards of national hospitality and professionalism when interacting with guests.
To take pride in all aspects of service, quality, personal appearance, and cleanliness, both in yourself and within your area of responsibility.
To understand and adhere to Beverage Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and continuously seek opportunities to recommend improvements to these procedures.
To professionally set up the bar at the beginning of each shift, including liquor, ice, glassware, juices, garnishes, and other required items.
To process drink orders in the proper calling order, ensuring the correct number of drinks are prepared and managing billing accurately, promptly, and efficiently.
To prepare all cocktails in accordance with the Anantara Resorts & Spas Standard Beverage Manual, using full standard measures.
To receive and check liquor against the previous shift’s requisitions and report any discrepancies in the receiving order to the F&B Supervisor promptly.
To maintain security and control within the work area and never leave the bar area unless properly relieved by a colleague.
To assist with bar and work-area cleanliness, including mopping floors, removing cans and bottles, cleaning rails and counters, and removing melting ice from ice bins.
To adhere to Anantara’s Responsible Usage of Alcohol guidelines at all times, including not serving alcohol to underage guests or guests displaying inappropriate behaviour due to previous overconsumption of alcohol.
