Job summary
Cohere is seeking a Government Affairs Lead for the Middle East to shape AI and digital policy across the UAE and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and broader Gulf states. In this role you will liaise with ministries, regulators, and public-sector partners to advance Cohere's policy voice and public-sector initiatives.
You will collaborate with executives across legal, policy, and communications to ensure compliant, effective advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in government, public policy, diplomacy or equivalent.
- Strong relationships with senior government officials or public-sector stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal English; Arabic desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead Cohere's GAPP strategy for UAE, KSA and GCC region.
- Engage with ministries, regulators and public-sector bodies.
- Monitor AI policy, cloud, data governance and tech regulation developments.
- Coordinate with commercial, legal, communications and sales teams.
- Represent Cohere at policy forums and industry associations.
