Job summary

EDGE Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Metallurgist to supervise Lab Analysts in FAMTL and lead metallurgical testing and failure analysis across projects. You will review testing methods, evaluate data and advise design teams on material improvements to ensure reliability and safety of weapon systems and components.

The role requires strong English communication, at least 8 years in metallurgy, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Science or assoc. degree in chemistry, physics, metallurgy, or materials engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in metallurgy.
• 3–5 years supervising and/or managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of Lab Analysts in FAMTL and act as metallurgical engineering expert.
• Review methodologies for reliability, predictability and test procedures.
• Monitor state-of-the-art technology in reliability and testing fields.
• Evaluate data to isolate problems in design, materials and usage.
• Advise design and simulation teams on changes affecting quality and reliability.
• Support prototyping and fabrication teams on metallurgical issues.
