- REQUIRED TO APPLY: You've written 100+ UGC ad scripts and can prove it with the final creator videos.
- NICE TO HAVE: Has experience writing direct response ads (UGC ads, paid social ads, short-form video scripts) for software or AI companies.
If you're someone who:
- Has experience writing direct response ads (UGC ads, paid social ads, short-form video scripts) for software or AI companies.
- Knows how to write hooks that stop the scroll in the first 1–3 seconds, and understands how to turn product features into clear benefits, strong angles, and offers that convert.
- Has production experience, not just writing skills, you've filmed content yourself, or managed UGC creators, and you know how to edit video or give sharp, actionable feedback to editors.
- Understands the full pipeline, from pre-production (briefing creators, planning shoots), production (shooting) through post-production (editing, feedback loops), not just the script on paper.
- Has worked in performance marketing agencies, paid social, or creative agencies, and thinks like a marketer, not just a writer.
- Wants to become one of the leading creative directors in performance marketing in what may be the most important industry of the next decade (AI).
Then this role is for you.
Before diving into the role specifics, let me first explain what ViralClip.io does and why we do it. http://viralclip.io
What We Do / Who We Serve
We are a marketing agency with one sole focus: to be leaders in the AI industry, working to scale companies that will change the world within the next 5–10 years.
We currently have about 50 active clients (who consist of purely AI software) which we run ads for, and we become their partner in helping them scale to $1M/month.
Our team is currently 9 people, and so far in the last 12 months we've generated (roughly) $20M in cash collected for our clients combined.
(This is purely in SaaS subscriptions, not ecommerce.)
What We Do for Them
- Rebuild their offer, if necessary.
- Rebuild their landing page, if necessary.
- Create their funnel, if necessary.
- Creative strategy and production (done for them).
- Run their ads (done for them).
- Coach on understanding the metrics for growth.
- Anything else required to help them hit cash collected ROAS above 1.
We currently manage about a few million per month in ad spend for our clients, and this is where the Creative Director role comes into play. The volume of ads we need to produce, test, and iterate across our client portfolio is where you come in.
Here’s Our Vision By 2030
AI is eliminating barriers to product development. Anyone can now build and launch a tech product without writing a single line of code.
This shift is creating a wave of hyper-specialized products, where success no longer depends on development, but on distribution. With countless new products flooding the market, the real challenge is:
How do you put the right product in front of the right audience at scale?
That's where ViralClip comes in — and where great creative, produced fast and at volume, makes the difference.
We are building the most effective system for scaling software products, and it's already working:
- Over 80% of our clients are AI businesses.
- 20% of our clients are on track for a major exit, thanks to our acquisition strategies.
- Many clients start out skeptical, but once they test our system, we outperform every other acquisition channel or agency they've used.
The Role
There are 2 core expectations for this role:
1. Creative Output & Results
What does "results" mean for a Creative Director at ViralClip?
- Consistently turning product and offer insights into high-performing scripts and concepts, the kind that get tested, iterated, and scaled.
- Producing a high volume of finished, publishable ad creative for Meta Ads, not just scripts on a page.
- Making sure creative keeps converting as we scale: identifying why winning ads work and replicating those patterns, while killing what doesn't work fast.
Your role in this process:
- Analyze product briefs and extract the strongest angles and hooks for direct response ads (UGC ads, paid social ads, short-form video scripts).
- Write scripts and creative concepts that grab attention in the first 1–3 seconds and drive conversions.
- Turn scripts into finished creative: brief and coordinate UGC creators or manage filming, and either edit yourself or give clear, specific feedback to editors, owning the process from pre-production to post-production.
- Work hand-in-hand with an Account Manager across a portfolio of roughly 10 software and AI client accounts, producing a high volume of ads to launch on Meta Ads.
- Review performance data together with the AM and refine messaging, hooks, and angles based on what's actually converting.
- Continuously research competitors, winning ads, and new creative angles in the software and AI space.
Great creative doesn't matter much if it doesn't ship on time, or if the Account Manager and client can't rely on you.
What makes this work well?
- Being a real creative partner to the Account Manager, not just someone waiting on a brief.
- Understanding each client's product, market, and customer well enough to move fast without hand-holding.
- Flagging production bottlenecks (creators, editors, timelines) proactively, before they become the AM's problem.
- Caring about results, not just clever copy, thinking like a marketer, not just a writer.
Who This Is For
- Creatives who've worked in performance marketing agencies, paid social, or creative agencies.
- People who understand that ads aren't about sounding smart, they're about converting.
- People who can go beyond the script: who've filmed UGC themselves, managed creators, or edited/directed editors through post-production.
- Writers who think like marketers and care about results, not just words.
- People who want to grow inside a fast-scaling, AI-focused performance marketing agency.
