The Mechanical Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing all mechanical works associated with substation projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and project schedules. The role involves overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including transformer cooling systems, firefighting systems, HVAC equipment, piping networks, pumps, oil handling and filtration systems, and other associated mechanical infrastructure. The Mechanical Site Engineer monitors day-to-day site activities, contractor performance, equipment installation, alignment, leveling, and resource utilization to ensure efficient project execution and achievement of project milestones. Key responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, specialists, consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth installation and commissioning activities, conducting pre-commissioning inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring systems operate as intended. The engineer is responsible for maintaining quality standards through routine inspections, verification of materials, compliance with approved method statements, preparation of inspection reports, and coordination with QA/QC teams for approvals and corrective actions. The role also requires close collaboration with civil, electrical, and commissioning teams to resolve interface issues and support overall project delivery. In addition, the Mechanical Site Engineer ensures strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements by enforcing safe work practices, conducting safety inspections, participating in toolbox talks, identifying potential risks, and implementing mitigation measures. Responsibilities further include maintaining daily progress reports, material and work inspection records, commissioning documentation, drawing registers, as-built records, and other project-related documentation. The ideal candidate possesses a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with experience in substation or power projects, strong knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, transformer auxiliary systems, oil handling systems, relevant international standards, and commissioning practices, along with excellent communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Through effective site supervision, technical expertise, quality control, and stakeholder coordination, the Mechanical Site Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, timely, and successful completion of substation projects from installation through commissioning and project handover
