Job summary

PeopleStrong in Dubai is seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer to supervise and coordinate mechanical works on substation projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, safety, and schedules. You'll oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, oil handling and transformer auxiliary systems.

The ideal candidate holds a BE degree (or Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering with 5–8 years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication to work with vendors,

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering for substation or power projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, transformer auxiliary systems, oil handling, and commissioning practices.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and execute mechanical works for substations.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, safety regulations, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare inspection reports and liaise with QA/QC for approvals.
• Maintain HSE compliance and conduct toolbox talks.
• Maintain progress records and commissioning documentation.
