Job summary

Al Rostamani Group of Companies LLC is seeking an MEP Design Engineer - Electrical to design and integrate Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems for residential, commercial and industrial buildings in the UAE.

You will collaborate with project teams, perform system calculations, prepare detailed drawings and ensure compliance with local codes and standards. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of experience in MEP design are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Design Engineer in MEP projects.
• Strong proficiency in design software or tools for MEP installations.
• Knowledge of Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to design Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems for construction projects.
• Perform design calculations for cables, lighting and electrical devices for buildings.
• Develop detailed design drawings, schedules and documentation for MEP installations.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes and industry standards.
• Provide technical support during construction and respond to RFIs.
• Conduct quality checks on design plans for accuracy and completeness.

Responsible for designing Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems that ensure the efficient Electrical systems and controls within buildings. MEP Design Engineer- Electrical will play a pivotal role in the design phase of MEP projects, providing efficient design and engineering of electrical systems as per local codes and standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and objectives. Develop Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems design plans, specifications, and schematics for construction projects
• Perform Electrical system calculations for the buildings and decide the sizing and type of cables, lighting and other devices for the reliable Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems for Residential, Commercial and Industrial buildings.
• Develop detailed design calculations and drawings for Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems procurements and installations.
• Develop comprehensive Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems designs, that meet project requirements and adhere to local building codes and industry standards
• Prepare and maintain detailed Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems design documentation, including drawings, schematics, riser diagrams, cable schedules, equipment schedules, and technical reports
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, electrical engineer and other team members to integrate Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems with other building services effectively
• Incorporate energy-efficient technologies and practices into Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems designs to minimize environmental impact and reduce operational costs
• Ensure that all Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standard
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFI (Request for Information) ensure proper installation and performance of Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems
• Conduct quality checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems design plans

• Strong proficiency in design software or tools for MEP installations.
