Job summary

Al Rostamani Group of Companies LLC in Dubai is seeking an MEP Draughtsman to prepare, modify and analyze mechanical and electrical drawings for HVAC, Fire Protection, Lighting, small power, ELV, Plumbing and Drainage using AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM and MicroStation.

Responsibilities include generating schedules, reviewing tender drawings, coordinating with Design Managers, Estimation Engineers, Site Engineers and Project Managers, and ensuring shop drawings meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with 3 years of experience in MEP project drawing preparation using AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM and MicroStation.
• Or Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Electrical / Drafting fields with minimum 5 years of MEP drawing experience using AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schedules for generation of drawings for MEP projects.
• Review tender drawings and plan timelines for detailed and shop drawings.
• Manage drawing-related work to meet project targets and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with Design Manager, Estimation Engineers, Site Engineers and Project Managers for inputs and reviews.
• Coordinate with Client drafting teams for interfaces and clarifications during project phases.
• Collaborate with ESCO team to incorporate energy-saving measures in drawings.

The MEP Draughtsman is responsible for preparing, modifying and analyzing technical drawings of MEP projects including HVAC, Fire Protection, Lighting, Small Power, ELV systems, Plumping and Drainage installations by using sophisticated software tools for drafting like AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM and Micro station

Job Responsibilities

Prepare schedules for the generation of drawings in line with the requirement of MEP Projects schedules.

Review the tender drawings and assess the drafting works involved in the project and prepare the time line for completion of detailed design drawings and shop drawings.

Manage the drawings related works to meet the project targets by regularly monitoring and reporting the progress of works.

Prepare, modify and analyze Mechanical, Electrical, Plumping and Drainage Projects drawings by using software tools like AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM and Micro station

Closely coordinate with Design Manager, Estimation Engineers, Site Engineers and Project Managers for collection of inputs and review of drawings.

Coordination with Client drafting team in the case of any interface discussions or clarifications during various phases of the project.

Collaborate with the ESCO team to incorporate energy-saving measures in the drawings related works.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with 3 year experience in MEP project drawing preparation with software tools like AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM and Micro station

or

Technical Certificate courses in Mechanical / Electrical / Drafting fields with minimum 5years experience in MEP project drawing preparation with software tools like AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM and Micro station .

Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP projects drawings preparation works for residential and commercial towers and industrial buildings.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in MEP projects drawings preparation works for residential and commercial towers and industrial buildings in UAE or any other GCC countries.
• ESCO industry experience preferred.
