Job summary

Emirates Electrical Engineering, part of the Al Rostamani Group, seeks an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee electrical and mechanical systems installations in residential, commercial and industrial buildings in the UAE. This role demands delivering projects on time and within budget while meeting quality standards and client expectations.

The candidate should hold a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with PMP (preferred) and have extensive UAE/GCC project experience, including

Qualifications

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • PMI - PMP Certification preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall strategic planning of the project to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee the project performance with regards to time, cost, HSE and ensure timely delivery of project by meeting quality standards.
  • Establish contractual correspondence with client on delays and cost impact on the project.
  • Direct or coordinate with suppliers and contractors for design and manufacturing related activities.
  • Participate in negotiations for contract finalization with project stakeholders.
  • Assist, review and coordinate the creation, submission and clearance of invoices and monitor the budget and cash flow.
  • Direct or coordinate engineering, safety, facilities, and production personnel to ensure timely delivery per specifications.
  • Supervise and assign duties to site managers, supervisors, and technicians during installation and commissioning.
  • Prepare estimates used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Generate and update project progress reports, planned value, invoice projection and cash flow projection.
  • Track project schedule and submit weekly progress reports to client and internal teams.
  • Inspect workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure safety standards and regulations compliance.
  • Collaborate with site managers, Design Manager, Commissioning Managers, HSE officer and engineers to maintain high-performance, service-oriented environment.

The MEP Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of MEP projects including HVAC, Fire Protection, Lighting, Small Power, ELV systems, Plumping and Drainage installations of Residential, Commercial and Industrial Buildings, ensuring the Projects are completed on time, within the allocated budget, by meeting required quality standards and satisfaction to client.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall strategic planning of the project to ensure timely delivery of the project.
  • Oversee the project performance with regards to time, cost, HSE and ensure timely delivery of project by meeting quality standards.
  • Establishing Necessary Contractual correspondence with Client on the delays and cost impact on the project.
  • Direct or coordinate with suppliers and contractors for Design and Manufacturing related activities.

  • Direct or coordinate the engineering, safety, facilities, and production personnel to ensure timely delivery of the project in compliance with specifications or customer requirements.
  • Supervise and assign duties to site manager/supervisors/technicians engaged in technical installation and commissioning of the project.
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Generate and update project progress reports, planned value, invoice projection and cash flow projection and follow up on the same.
  • Tracking of the project schedule and preparation and submission of weekly Progress reports to client, project manager and the internal teams.
  • Inspect workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
  • Work with site managers, Design Manager, Commissioning Managers, HSE officer, site engineers and technicians to ensure high-performance, service oriented work environment that supports achieving company objectives, values and strategic plan.
Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • PMI - PMP Certification preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in managing MEP projects for residential and commercial towers and industrial buildings.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing MEP projects in UAE or any other GCC countries.
  • ESCO industry experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of MEP systems, construction practices, and authority regulations
