Job summary

GHD is expanding its Abu Dhabi team and seeking an experienced MEP Computational Engineer to lead computational design, energy simulations, and integrated MEP systems for regional projects. The role emphasizes optimization, sustainability, and collaboration with architects and other engineers.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background, BIM expertise, and proficiency in IESVE and REVIT, with Middle East exposure considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with BIM and advanced digital tools.
• Proficiency with Rhino Grasshopper and Ladybug.
• Experience with IESVE for energy modeling.
• Strong understanding of REVIT software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and utilize computational models and parametric tools to optimize MEP designs.
• Conduct building performance simulations energy modeling and thermal analysis using IESVE.
• Analyze and optimize building energy performance to enhance sustainability and efficiency.
• Design and implement mechanical electrical and plumbing systems in buildings.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to ensure designs are integrated seamlessly.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction specifications.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements and best practices in MEP engineering to continuously improve system efficiency and sustainability.
