Job summary

Talabat is seeking a Director, Special Projects & Performance in Abu Dhabi to lead regional initiatives across eight markets, driving performance and owning cross-market strategic initiatives. The role leads a team of about five, collaborating with market Managing Directors and the CIO to align on priorities and execution.

The position blends strategic leadership with hands-on problem solving, requiring travel across the MENA region, strong financial acumen, and experience driving turnaround

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in high-growth tech, market leadership or strategy roles.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the MENA region.
• Strong financial acumen including P&L ownership and budgeting.
• Highly analytical with ability to engage senior stakeholders across markets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee business performance across talabat markets, tracking trends and opportunities in Food and Q-commerce.
• Partner with market MDs and regional finance on annual budgeting and BE cycles.
• Surface risks and corrective actions when performance deviates and present data-driven reviews to ExCo.
• Lead cross-market strategic initiatives and act as the CIO's strategic partner.
