Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a MENA Analyst to join its intelligence team. The role focuses on desk-based open source research, producing political and security risk assessments, and delivering client-ready reports and briefings.

The analyst will foster strong client relationships and contribute to a growing network of sources and data feeds. The position involves mentoring other analysts when needed and working within a hybrid policy, with a base in Dubai and regular collaboration across international

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in security analysis, political risk research or crisis risk management.
• Solid knowledge of political and security developments in the MENA region.
• Experience in providing responsive client service and maintaining relationships with clients and prospects.
• Honest, curious, able to make analytical judgments based on evidence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct desk-based open source research and produce political, security and geopolitical risk assessments.
• Prepare and deliver reports, presentations and briefings to clients and audiences.
• Provide responsive customer service and develop positive client relationships.
• Develop and maintain resources including human intelligence sources, subcontractors, data feeds and open source networks.
• Mentor and/or manage other analysts or researchers where applicable.
